Meeting afterwards on the shores of Ensenore on Owasco Lake. Divers included Keith Mardsen, Rick Horr, Rick Crofoot, Don Groff, Henry MacDonald, Chris Buffington, Rosemarie and R.J. Bent. Our experienced shore crew included Janet Marsden, Connie Horr, Joan MacDonald, Cher&Ron Benda, Kathy Groff, Renee Crofoot & Orrin Marcono. After the dive, food and beverages were provided at the Bent's residence. Everyone had a great time and plan to do it again next year!

About a dozen members of the Auburn Skin Divers Association planned to
plunge into the new year with an underwater dive in Owasco Lake at midnight,
said Association President R.J. Bent, of Auburn.
"We dive all winter long," Bent said as he and other divers gathered for a pre-dive "surf and turf" dinner at Doug's Fish Fry in Skaneateles. "This is just something we do different for New Year's." Bent said divers would don "dry suits" to keep warm in the 40-degree water and enter the lake shortly before midnight. He said the divers expected to stay down for 15 to 20 minutes.
